Excellent coffee and cakes. The Staff are friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. I'd recommend them to anyone who loves their coffee made just the way you like it. First class roasts and espresso.

A cup of coffee used to be a simple pleasure. Cheap, reliable, a quick pick-me-up. Now it feels like a small indulgence, a luxury you can’t afford to waste on mediocrity in a world where everything feels overpriced. If you’re paying five to seven bucks for a coffee, it better deliver. For a reliable coffee spot in Brisbane’s city centre, head to Edward Espresso and Kitchen. The constant buzz of activity drew me in - a bustling crowd is always a promising sign. The sign outside the cafe promises “quality coffee, fast service,” and the baristas inside work like a finely tuned machine, churning out perfect pours without missing a beat. The medium flatty was $5.50, and worth every cent. Smooth, rich, and satisfying in the way only good coffee can be. There’s not much room to sit inside - it’s more of a grab-and-go spot where efficiency and quality meet. Perfect for a reliable caffeine fix before you get on with your day.

Really good coffee, nice staff. I’ve been in Australia for 2 days and I like how friendly everyone is here. This place was a short stop, only for coffee take away. However nice!

Grabbed a last-minute takeaway latte before they closed. It was flavourful, and the barista was lovely. I might come back to try some of their other coffees.

This café sits right on a busy street, making it the perfect stop for a quick coffee on the way to work. The service is friendly and efficient, and the coffee itself is rich, smooth, and full of flavor—just what you need to start the day right. While seating is limited, it’s an ideal grab-and-go spot for a quality brew. There’s something about starting the morning here that sets a positive tone for the rest of the day. Highly recommend it for a quick yet excellent coffee fix!

Just found this little coffee haven by accident - how lucky! The coffee is perfect. I also had some avocado on toast which was delicious. Such lovely staff too. What a find, in the heart of the city. Definitely visit if you’re a lover of tiny little cafes serving excellent coffee, tasty food and with brilliant service. As you can tell, I highly recommend this place!

Edward Espresso: A Must-Visit in Brisbane Located right off of Central Station, Edward Espresso is an absolute must-visit when you're in Brisbane! This coffee shop offers lovely service, a fantastic menu, and truly incredible espresso and coffees. I always order a flat white as my go-to "strip test" for a coffee shop's espresso, and Edward Espresso certainly passed with flying colors. The blend was incredible, and the milk was steamed to perfection. Beyond the coffee, I was pleasantly surprised by an amazing bowl of pumpkin soup. The staff at both storefronts are absolutely wonderful and incredibly pleasant to talk to. I discovered Edward Espresso through a recommendation from a professor all the way down on the Gold Coast, and I'm so glad I made the trip up to Brisbane for the day to check it out – I was definitely not disappointed. While the small amount of seating at the two adjacent storefronts initially gave me pause, a quick chat with the staff quickly changed my mind. I ended up ordering both a coffee and the pumpkin soup, and both were absolutely incredible. As someone visiting from the US, I'm constantly amazed by Australia’s coffee scene, but it can be challenging to find that perfect spot. Sorry but Starbucks is not a go to spot for me, funny enough there is one across the street from EE. Edward Espresso never disappoints new or regular customers, and I now know where I'll be buying my beans for my home brew. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to this lovely shop when I'm in Brisbane!
